At our airport the avionics shop recently did a complete re-do upgrake for the panel of a Sundowner.....$65K. Next the guy was sending it to the paint shop. Estimate for the total redo of the plane was $150K. Good, solid plane now well equipped........compare that to a ne C-172 going for about $500K.

Upgrading our Navions sure makes a lot of sense.

New guy across from me just brought his brand-new Cirrus home.

$918,000.

Beautiful plane. Perfect in every way.

He really, really wants a ride in my L-17B ;-)

According to an article in AvWeb yesterday, Cessna is bringing back their T182T for a base price of $653,000 in 2023. Reading the article, I kept thinking that a similarly equipped Navion or Rangemaster could do all that.

But I could have 6 of them instead of 1 Cessna.

Like Dick says, Go Fly Your Navion

Jim Carter
